Unfortunately the texinfo manual is not currently shipped with glibc. I have written to libc-alpha about this, but I would again appreciate pointers to how to get this omission fixed; in particular, I can't see how to submit patches to the regex documentation until it's actually being shipped.Regex documentation is at manual/pattern.texi in the glibc git repository. However, it only covers the POSIX API.This is not the manual I meant. I mean the manual from the old GNU regex distribution at: http://ftp.gnu.org/old-gnu/regex/regex-0.12.tar.gz which documents the GNU API.
I think that's gone at the moment. Your options are to add it to glibc (harder) or to add it the gnulib manual. The latter not optimal, but it could be good enough for now.
