Sure, but Gnulib isn't limited to glibc functionallity;
it also does functionality standardized (or probably-will-be-
standardized) by POSIX but not yet in glibc, functionality
needed to support other LGPLed libraries
that are part of the GNU project, minor extensions to
glibc functionality for platforms that glibc does not
support, functionality widely available in other (non-GNU)
library implementations, and so forth.
