That sounds similar to my experience.

I see, thanks. I think I tried --create-megatestdir a while ago and
gave up because it took along time. I assume there were much less
modules when this was written:

I'm hoping to finish the replacements required for header files done
soon (@NMD@, %reldir%). Once that is done it should be at least
somewhat usable.
