[Bug-gnupod] Reformatting a MAC Ipod Mini

Hi,

I was following your instructions for reformatting a MAC
Ipod.  After issuing this command:

/sbin/mkfs.vfat -F 32 -n "ipod" /dev/sdc2

I got the error message: (ipod is located at /dev/sdc)

mkfs.vfat 2.8 (28 Feb 2001)
mkfs.vfat: failed whilst writing reserved sector

Subsequent calls to mkfs.vfat yielded:

/sbin/mkfs.vfat -c -F 32 -n "ipod" /dev/sdc2
mkfs.vfat 2.8 (28 Feb 2001)
mkfs.vfat: unable to allocate space for FAT image in memory



Any idea what's happening here?  Thanks,
