hi,

i buy yesterday a new ipod-photo. since i'm using linux, i need to geit it to work. i followed your instructions on this website http://www.gnu.org/software/gnupod/gnupod.html
and i have a little problem
since i only have usb2 on my computer, i don't need to load the module sbp2. this is only for firewire, right? ok, no i copied the firmware and everything was ok. then i remade the partitiontable using pc-fdisk and everything was ok then i copied the firmware to /dev/sda1 as you describe there... and everithing was ok... i formated /dev/sda2, and everything was ok... then i unpluged my ipod and it doesn't start. there is a symbol of a broken folder on the display.... i tryed the trik with the reboot and diskmode, but it comes the same broken folder as simbol on the display.

i didn't any firmware update... 'cause the link http://www.iweenie.com/ipod.shtml brings me to a very crazy website, where i can't find any firmware for the ipod.
is this the reason why my ipod doesn't work? do i have to do an update?

i hope you can help me!!!!
thankx a lot!!!!!!!!!!!
