Subject: | [Bug-gnupod] Compilation flag bug |

Dear guy who wrote GNUPod, First, thanks. GNUPod
+ GTKPod make using my iPod
on Linux a lot easier than screwing around with VMWare
+ iTunes. I have, however, discovered what I think
is a small bug with the way GNUPod
writes the DB. The iPod (and iTunes)
allow a flag (I think it’s within the ID3 spec) for marking tracks as
being part of a compilation. It seems like GNUPod
automatically sets this flag to true for every file on the iPod,
every time. When I’m at my work PC, I’ll have to go through and
re-set the proper values for compilation CDs, and then everything acts fine.
But once I do an update from GNUPod, every single
song & album I have is listed under the ‘Compilation’ menu. Is this a known issue, or am I doing
something totally wrong? Derrich Hafemann Direct# (603) 459-2460 Main# (603) 886-3874
