Yes. Apple changed the Limit from 64 chars to 55. Don't ask me why.
I just released GNUpod 0.98.2
http://blinkenlights.ch/gnupod-dist/stable/gnupod-0.98.2.tgz
This version does not create paths longer than 49 chars.
(Who knows where apple will set the limit in future ;-) )
You can also run 'gnupod_check.pl --fixit' to fixup (shorten)
existing files on the iPod.
(BTW: Apple broke SmartPlaylist support with iPodMini-1.4 ..
Do them still work with the new Photo-Firmware? )
