Well, at least it seems that the "normal" ipods are not yet fubar'ed by the
new hash. So it seems the new hash is still only used on the new "ipod
touch" and iphone with software version 2.x.

BTW: I just discovered that debian lenny contains a 0.99.7 package named 
"gnupod-tool" that should work on ubuntu too. Here's a link to the
Changelog:

PS: I'd love to know if the new iPod classic (late 2008 model) has the same 
problem with artwork.
