Yesterday the ipod arrived. I hope I'll manage to do some basic 
installation tonight and maybe even first testis to fill in the blank
spaces in our knowledge of the shuffle format.

In order to document our findings and make them accessible to everybody 
else I've started a wiki here: http://shuffle3db.wikispaces.com/

Everybody is invited to join the effort and add their piece of knowledge.

BTW: I am conflicted about the usage of "4th/3rd generation". Usually I'd
stick with the libgpod/gtkpod numbering and call it 4th generation but most
users will go with the manufacturers name. Any thoughts?
