[Bug-gnupod] iPod Shuffle 3rd Gen: Status?

I'm wondering what the status of Shuffle 3rd generation database support 
is.

The problem has been known for almost a year:

Do you know of any other Free Software tools running on GNU/Linux, that 
make the device work, until this is implemented in GNUpod?

What's it about this http://www.floola.com/ thingie workaround described 
at http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9142805&postcount=13 ?

My 2nd gen worked so well, I didn't even bother to research the 3rd gen 
before buying it :(
