Applied this patch, but you will need to test it yourself, as I don't have any
font with a UTF8 family name. I just tested that this does not cause harm on my
machine.

Severity: 5 - Average

Resolution: Fixed

Summary: back-xlib with fontconfig does not accept font family encoded in UTF8
Original Submission: I have a font whose font family is in Chinese, not ASCII.
GNUstep application can not launch
because it uses C String method to get font family from fontconfig.
The backend is Xft/fontconfig.
Not sure it is a bug but I guess most of the strings should be treated as UTF8,
not C string.
