Hmm, still getting the same error messages though.

He's using Debian testing.  IceWeasel, Epiphany, and Gnash are working on
his computer, so he had assumed that the libraries necessary for IceCat
would be already present.

But maybe you're right:
address@hidden:~/software/icecat-3.0.3-g1$ ./icecat
./icecat-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libxcb-xlib.so.0: cannot 
open shared object file: No such file or directory
address@hidden:~$ find / -name '*libxcb-xlib*' 2>errors.text
address@hidden:~$

Maybe there are some libraries that have different names or aren't installed
on his computer.  He'll look into it...
