addons not adding on & privacy extension won't install

Hi,

I've installed GNUzilla IceCat 3.6.13 on Ubuntu 10.10, but can't seem to make any addons actually add.  The few I've chosen so far are queued to be added (see screenshot), but it never happens, not with restart of icecat & not with reboot.  I've searched forums (GNU & Ubuntu), followed instructions on GNUzilla/IceCat site, made sure about:config has correct settings, what-ever I can find.

My other problem since install is the GNUzilla privacy extension won't install.  Every time I open IceCat the prompt comes up (see 2nd screenshot), I choose install and it doesn't work.  Perhaps these are related?  

For the Ubuntu side, GNUzilla is a 'Trusted Software Provider' and authentication 'Launchpad GNUzilla Icecat for Ubuntu' is there.
I'm all out of ideas.  
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
