First of all, you should change the repo: if your system is based on Ubuntu 10.04 (not 10.4), you have to use this repo

http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnuzilla-team/ppa/ubuntu lucid main

maverick is for Ubuntu 10.10.

Install the version from lucid repo and try again.
P.S. I'm the repo maintainer.

Hi,

Icecat is installed using Ubuntu 10.4 Repository (icecat, icecat-de).
"http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnuzilla-team/ppa/ubuntu maverick main"
(binary and source)

An installation is not possible (==> not compatible).

Should I better remove the Ubuntu repository and install via
gnu.org-sources? (manually installation)

OS is currently Trisquel 4.5 (based on Ubuntu 10.4)
(gNewSense is favored, but is too out of date, so I use Trisquel).

What is the best approach?

Thanks for response.

Joerg
