Hi
When building icecat, the configure process will give a confusing error message
"Could not compile basic X program" (without telling which library should be
installed) if environment miss the xt-dev package.
I had this error building icecat 17 (but I suppose this is the same with
the newer releases) and the solution was to install the libxt-dev package.
This "bug" is also reported here:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi/attachment.cgi?id=625015&action=diff
I propose to update this error message to:
"Could not compile basic X program. The xt-dev package do not seems to be
installed."
Regards
A
