I don't know of an extension that does that, but I suppose one could look at
what Shim Storage
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/shim-storage/) does and then
maybe add that to a cookie privacy extension (e.g. Cookie Monster).

I can't say I've got enough time to create or maintain such an extension,
but I'd be happy to test one and provide feedback.
