Hello,

I am running Windows 7 SP1 at work (which I'm not any happier about than you are, believe me). IceCat consistently crashes on startup if `-safe-mode` is not specified. Even if `-ProfileManager` is specified, the crash occurs before the Profile Manager window is displayed. This happens with IceCat versions 31.5.0 and 31.8.0.

Windows gives the following information:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: icecat.exe
Application Version: 31.8.0.5672
Application Timestamp: 00000000
Fault Module Name: d2d1.dll
Fault Module Version: 6.2.9200.16492
Fault Module Timestamp: 50f30d14
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00228506
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033
Additional Information 1: 0a9e
Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

With 31.5.0 the message is exactly the same (except of course for Application Version).

I have also seen it crash once even *with* `-safe-mode`, when attempting to load mail.google.com:

Problem signature:

Let me know what further information I can provide.

Best regards,

Steven Collins
