Requests like this one can be seen as a problem with bundling a
general-purpose ad-blocker with icecat: users will now be asking
gnuzilla to fix whatever is broken in there, since upstream fixes may or
may not trickle down to them.

In this particular case, however, I have to wonder at the reasoning
behind insisting on using icecat while browsing spotify. Isn't that a
drm shop? I am afraid to enable javascript there. Max, by making that
website work in icecat you demolish whatever advantage you gained over
using the stock firefox. What you are doing is akin to installing
Trisquel, and then replacing the kernel with a blobby one (because your
hardware needs blobs), and finally installing a steam client with a
bunch of non-free games. I don't recommend it, but would it not be
easier to just use something like Ubuntu or whoever is already in bed
with that sleaze?
