"Google's accuracy" is a distortion.
Anybody can type "www.google.com" to find its accuracy, and everybody
who knows Google knows this URL.
Google's presence there is as an approved company by GNUzilla project.
Searx project should be really approved.

Although I agree with you, I'm not sharing your whole opinion. Although
I'm liking Google less every day, I just take its 'presence' in DDG as a
'just-in-case' tool. Sometimes Google's accuracy is needed (and I'm
saying this as an active DDG user), or prefer using it when you need to
look for images (I don't really like Bing).
Your feedback makes sense, but unfortunately I don't think the developers would
make anything for it, as
DuckDuckGo isn't Icecat's 'personal' search engine; a program that
supplies all its privacy related features. A more ambitious project
should be making a specific Gnuzilla search engine, which mixes the
power of the best ones, and adds some homemade features. However, I'm
not concerned about the difficulty of the project, as I'm not
specialized in that field.
Thanks for your contribution. Happy hacking.
Joe Westlaw.
