Bug report...

Hi:

I got this mesage while trying out the universal hashing function proposed
by Robert Uzgalis:

arlequin{goulet}199: g++ hash.cc -lg++
hash.cc:4: Internal compiler error.
hash.cc:4: Please submit a full bug report to address@hidden'.

I'm attaching the whole file. One can see that the line causing the error
is the one marked with a comment. The scheme works well for a variety of
objects, including Gnu Strings, but not with a basic "const char *".

Tx for your help. Sorry if this is a usual stupid mistake on my part!
