Hi Joerg,

I believe it was released in December 2018. Since then there have been about 
16 commits for pspic and pdfpic.

I'm afraid I can't reproduce this (I moved my two test pdfs to a subdirectory) 
and seems to work. One possibility is that pdfinfo (which is called from 
pdfpic) does not like one of the pdfs you are including. If you run pdfinfo on 
the pdfs, what is the output, and what is the specific version of pdfinfo you 
are using.

The error you have posted is emitted if the return status of the external call 
to pdfinfo is non-zero.
