freebsd over (nd)

Has anyone tried to load freebsd using pxeboot using /boot/loader as the 
kernel?  When I do it
with grub /boot/loader seems to have no idea where its root file system is.  
This works ok when I
send /boot/pxeboot over pxe, but I would like to do this with pxegrub so I can 
have cool menus :).
 Also I don't know how to have /boot/loader grab the /boot/loader.rc file over 
tftp or nfs,
/boot/pxeboot seems to send /boot/loader some information about that...
