Once again I want to say how glad I am to have GRUB--I just
installed it in its own partition on my multiboot system.
But I noticed the menu looks much different from my original
installation: the screen is wider and not as attractive as
the menu before (same version). The question is:
Other than color, how may the menu apearance be customized?
(I couldn't find a clear answer in the docs--maybe I'm
getting too old.)
Thanks.

P.S. My windows machine is the one hooked up to the world,
but my Linux box is used heavily and modified often. I have
attached an Excel spreadsheet that I have found to be very
useful in recording my system disk parameters. Maybe it
will be useful to others.
