Mandrake 7.2 and GRUB

Hi,

I installed Linux Mandrake 7.2 and LILO was installed as the bootloader. 
/boot/grub contains stage1, stage2 and menu.lst files. I use BOOTPART to create 
the bootsector to boot linux from the Windows 2000 menu(which brings up LILO), 
I 
wanted to use GRUB instead of LILO ? How do i do that ?

I created a boot floppy with stage1 and stage2 (dd'ing as mentioned in the 
HOWTO) and when i boot with the floppy, it prints "Stage1 Stage2" and hangs and 
i cannot do anything. Any idea why this is happening.
