please excuse my breaking in on your thread. just joined
bug-grub, will log back and pull thread's archive.

for now, my inquire relates to above 'dd'. 'bs=64 count=1', would
this not dump only 64 bytes. should this not be 'bs=512 count=1',
or 'bs=64 count=8' to dump full sector?
