  Hi,

I have already posted a version of this patch, when it was applyed to 0.5.95,
but here is a new version, in case anybody has interest.

Besides the support for running grub in vga 16 colors mode, show a background
image, choose font colors, a viewport, etc. This patch has some functional
changes that may be useful, the most important ones, I think are:

+ When setting the amount of memory to the linux kernel, with the "mem=XX"
option, initrd must be loaded bellow that amount of memory.
+ If less than 608Kb of conventional memory is available, grub won't boot
the linux kernel. This patch has a workaround, that requires at least 480
Kb of memory, and a kernel supporting the boot protocol version >= 0x200.

Feel free to ask me any details about this patch, or make a new one, based
on this :-) I particularly don't like too much what I did for loading with
less than 608Kb, but it works...

If you reply, please CC me, as I am not in the list.

Paulo
