Hi Okuji,

I have a hacked up version of GRUB 0.90 that boots OpenBSD 2.9 and 3.0
kernels. Integrating this properly into the current version of GRUB
should be powwible. However, it is not immediately clear to me how
this should be done. Right now, GRUB treats NetBSD and OpenBSD
kernels alike (which I suppose is fine for older versions of both
OS'es). However, newer OpenBSD kernels need to be treated
differently. AFAICT it isn't possible to distinguish between older
and newer kernels (and NetBSD kernels for that matter). Two questions:

1. Is it acceptable to depend on the user specifying the proper kernel
   type?

2. Is it acceptable to use --type=openbsd for the newer kernels, and
   keep --type=netbsd for older kernels?

Thanks,

Mark
