I've just installed Redhat 8. It installs fine and on reboot, I get the following screen after making a selection from the grub menu:

Booting 'Redhat Linux-up (2.4.18-3)'

root (hd0, 0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.18-3 ro root=/dev/sda3
[Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1400, size=0xfa203]

Error 28: Selected item cannot fit into memory

Press any key to continue...

(Pressing a key takes you back to the grub menu.)

I have tried turning off Int13 in the Adaptec BIOS: didn't help.
I have replaced the 2110S with a 2100S: didn't help.
I have tried installing Redhat 7.3 instead: same error.
