Hi!
I would love to be able to specify to grub the sequence of
boots and timeouts. For example - I want to try 2-3 different
kernel configurations at a remote machine.
Let's say my default, working setup is numebr 0 in grub.conf.
Let's say the one I want to try is number 1.
I would like to be able to tell grub that:
1. for the next boot, and only for the next boot,
it should boot number 1
2. if my order is not changed, grub will reboot machine
after given time like 300 seconds.
I am pretty sure 1 is feasible. 2 may be too difficult
epsecially if I want to deal with hard lockups - then
hardware cooperation will be needed.
With these options I can try new kernel on a remote machine
without worrying I will connection with it.
