        Dear Grub developers.

First of all, thanks a lot for GRUB which I have been using and
advertising for 2 years. Such a progress after years of battles with
lilo :-)

I have had the exact same problem with grub 0.93 and on-board sis900
ethernet chip as is described by Matt Zimmermann in his emails "Re:
sis900 problems" around Sat, 31 Aug 2002 on the bug-grub mailing
list. He indicated that he could solve the problem by upgrading by
hand the etherboot code included in the grub distribution. I have
tried to do the same upgrade but without success (I haven't tried that
hard though). On the other hand, the etherboot disks from rom-o-matic
indeed recognized my sis900 chip properly (it goes all the way to
dhcp; but I need GRUB to do more fancy stuff afterward).

So here is my question: has the etherboot code been upgraded in the
latest CVS grub version, as Matt had suggested? If not, would it be
possible to do it, and how long would it take?

Thanks so much in advance,

Best regards,
                                                Nicolas
