Yes, I think UNDI maybe better, but I'm not very familiar with it:-(.
The original PCI and network support in grub is from etherboot-5.0, so I
just choose the easy way *^_^*.

I downloaded it, haven't tried it yet.
What would be really interresting is if you put a UNDI driver in there.
But, I dont think etherboot has UNDI.
