Dear sir, madame!

I install Linux with GRUB my first time and don't want to kill my system.
so I first ask, lest there come up troubles.

problem/question 1:
====================

in the case that my system will be unbootable, I need a rescue boot disk.
of course I also make OS boot disks, but if just the MBR on the HD is broken I can use the very funcional GRUB to manually boot partitions.

is it possible to make a GRUB boot CD (means a CD with GRUB stage 1 in the CD's MBR, and also stage 2, so that it boots GRUB fully)? (I don't have a floppy drive, and don't want it.)

with such a disk, it is poosible to boot every partition on the hd from the GRUB command line, right? so, I also don't need, and (to have an also on other PCs useable GRUB boot CD) also should not create boot entries into "menu.lst", right?

is such a GRUB boot CD , especially in the case that there is no GRUB (stage 2) on the hd, but just on this GRUB boot CD?

problem/question 2:
===================

can GRUB's stage 2 also be installed into a ext3 formatted partition (Linux' boot and system partition)?

sincerely,

Xin ZongXien
