Designation for dev=sda

Hi list,

I have added an external usb casing containing a 80Gig harddisk .. it is 
working just fine up to now.

Ok, first hard-drive is (hd0)

Kindly what would the designation for this usb hd .. dev/sda .. be .. if any .. 
please.

I suppose if a second one should be added it would be .. /dev/sdb .. just 
wondering.
