Yes, either the latest grub-0.95-diskless-patch-2 or etherboot-5.3.8 can not
support some of the 'latest' Intel cards, for instance, some 82541EI
controllers on supermicro server boards and probably all the dual / quad
ports controllers. :-(

That's why I hope the UNDI to be ready so much -_-|||

Be careful: the e1000 driver supports a whole family of NICs, but 
Intels hardware guys always try to outperform the driver guys (but at 
least, both are in the same shop).

You're lucky, because I found myself a couple of month ago at a point, 
where the newest Pro/1000 wasn't detected by my home rolled grub 
driver, ripped of from some earlier eb incarnation. This got the rock 
rolling...
