GRUB and BFS/SkyFS

Hi!

I hope someone can help me with a little question.
Recently I wrote a GRUB filesystem driver for BFS (BeOS) and SkyFS 
(SkyOS). This drivers are working great so far. The only problem I have 
is when installing GRUB itself onto these filesystems with setup (hdx,y)
So, my question is, must the filesystem drivers support the embed 
function in order to allow GRUB to install itself to this filesystems 
and boot from it? (Without changing the MBR)
