got some trouble with network ability in grub

hi,

i`ve tried to compile my own grun (0.95) with network support using these
options:

--enable-natsemi --enable-diskless --enable-3x90x --enable-smc9000
--enable-smc9000-scan=0x320,0x340

now my problem is that grub detects the right network card (seems so to
my) but when he try to load the kernel not output like loading [kernle
bzimage] is printed to the screen.

menu.lst couldn`t have any mistake because with this one and a other grub
bootdisk from the net all works fine for me.

any sugestions what can i do to get this work?
