Summary: grub doesnt work with primary slave as intended
Original Submission: I have 2 harddisk (pri master & slave). Whenever
installing Linux to slave drive grub fails. Recently i tried fedora 3 and it
got stuck at starting just displaying G R U B. I booted into rescue mode and
when doing a "root (hd..)" tab doesnt list any drive. Since fedora 3 uses udev
the /dev dierctory is empty and grub cant find the disk drives.
Also when installing grub from a Live CD the slave drive is given as (hd1).
However after installing grub and booting into it - it always fails because now
the slave drive is (hd0) after reboot. This happens everytime. So when
instaling from a livecd/rescue cd the slave drive is hd1 and
after installing the slave drive id changes to hd0 after reboot.
