How often are the binary distributions updated with all of the fixes and
patches that go into the CVS repository for GRUB?
I see all sorts of fixes and patches get made for it, but unfortunately I dont
have the know-how or hardware/software resources to get and build the latest in
CVS or the source code distributions.

I'm happy to announce the release of GRUB 0.96. This is the seventh of
our prereleases leading up to GRUB 1.0. We encourage you to try it, as
we have done a lot of bugfixes and feature enhancement since the
previous release.

The source and binary distributions are available from
<ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/grub/>.

Send any questions, ideas, bug reports to <address@hidden> or
<http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=grub>.

Here is the relevant NEWS:

New in 0.96 - 2005-01-30:
* The command "fallback" supports mutiple fallback entries.
* The command "savedefault" supports an optional argument which
is the number of next boot entry or the special keyword `fallback'.
* New utility "grub-set-default".
* New section "Making your system robust" in the manual.

Thanks,
Okuji
