Restart after Stage1.5

I will use grub on mandriva 2007 spring. This is my disc partitioning:

Currently I use Lilo without problems.
Wen I install grub:   grub-install /dev/hde  
it goes 100% ok. I restarted computer and it's appears:
Loading Stage1.5...
and computer restartet... and it is a loop...
When I install grub on floppy: grub-install /dev/fd0 
it goes 100% ok, I restarted computer and it appears:
Loading Stage2  and everythings go on
What ist the difference between boot from floppy and hd? I use still the
same configuration and menu.lst. Why can't I be grub installed on /dev/hde?
