Follow-up Comment #1, bug #36145 (project grub):

I just wanted to say, very nice boot image!

1. What is the resolution of your screen while booting?
2. Could this be supported by any scaling parameters in the configuration?

I was reading https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/388981, but
it did not explain what parameters to add.

It could be that the size of the console font does not align correctly with
the screen. Maybe changing your image to 1200x720 or similar might help
center the picture.

To help with development, you could:

Try as a test and put a light-red single-pixel border around the edge of your
image. Then a white single-pixel border inside of that. And a light-green
single-pixel border. Another white one. And then a light blue one.

That will let you see its borders to determine if it is fully shown at full
resolution. And if you can resize it to get it centered.

If you get it centered, post-back what resolution of the image you had to
scale it to to help developers scale 1280x800 to in-code.
