Details:
A little note: The release is 2.02~beta2 but it is not in the list. Now to the
report:
In /etc/default/grub I have set among other things GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0,
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true, GRUB_TIMEOUT=15 and GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE is not
set. On executing update-grub I'm getting the following output:
Generating grub configuration file ...
Warning: Setting GRUB_TIMEOUT to a non-zero value when GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT is
set is no longer supported.
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-18-generic
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-3.13.0-18-generic
Found Microsoft Windows XP Professional on /dev/sda2
done
If I'm doing now a reboot the timeout will be 10 seconds instead of 15 seconds
as expected. But interestingly if I'm setting GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE to a valid
value (for example menu) the warning on executing update-grub does not appear
anymore and the timeout will be 15 seconds.
If this is the expected behavior the warning is a little misleading as it is
not completely true.
