Details:

After rsyncing my /boot to a new drive using the --preallocate option GRUB
2.02 refuses to boot the Linux kernel bzImage with 'unsupported extent type
0x2'. The problem vanishes when copying the image to a different file. Type
0x2 marks a preallocated extent.
