Follow-up Comment #2, bug #51226 (project grub):
For others also having this problem: I switched to the iPXE bootloader, which
boots Windows and Linux correctly and without long loading times on physical
devices as I faced with the old GRUB version.
In addition to that, the iPXE developers offer the handy wimboot module for
directly loading .wim files without chainloading the original Windows
bootloader. This makes the whole process more simple.
