I changed two lessons, Q and T for the standard keyboard, by adding an introduction
and changing the fingering to match the symmetric system.

I will include the lesson in gtypist at a later time. Meanwhile if you download and use
the script files please let me know if they contain any errors.

Thank you,
Mihai

To use, download the files and type in the console:

gtypist symq.typ or
gtypist symt.typ

Hello Diego,

I looked at the Symmetric Typing Project and I think we can change a QWERTY lesson to accommodate the system.

Give me a few day to come up with something.

Thank you,
Mihai

Hello! I've been using GNU Typist to learn how to touch type, and found The Symmetric Typing Project, which points out that hitting the bottom row keys with you left hand is much easier and more ergonomic compared when going against the staggering.

If GNU Typist offered a lesson that taught QWERTY, but told you instead to use the new finger placements, that would be incredible!

Thank you so much for maintaining this project! All the best,

- Diego
