Hi,
I download http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/guile/guile-1.8.3.tar.gz, but
the ./configure gave me this:
...
checking for lt_dlinit in -lltdl... no
configure: error: libltdl not found. See README.
I worked on this for 2 days and found a solution:
BTW: yum install guile-devel works just fine on my fedora core 8, but
compile from source failed as above.
The solution is to install libltdl-dev (not libltdl as in the readme!!!)
