Both the manual page and usage message of gv advertise an option of
the form --arguments=ARGS with which, it is claimed, one can pass
arguments directly to the underlying "gs" command line. However, it
appears to be a bug of gv that it incorrectly ignores any string
provided through this option.
I would like to use "gv" to view IRS tax forms, which have
ridiculously large margins unless one's PDF viewer correctly displays
only the "CropBox"; therefore I have been trying to run
gv --arguments=-dUseCropBox f1040sd.pdf
but the "-dUseCropBox" is always ignored. Thanks for any attention
you can grant this issue!
