Follow-up Comment #3, bug #19870 (project gv):
I have identified the ghostscript patch that breaks gv. It is svn rev. 7834
of gpl ghostscript. When you reverse apply the patch, you will find that gv
8.57 (modified) will work with gv.
I have currently no idea why...
