packages for Redhat, aren't you? Well, on Friday, July 11th, I found a bug 
concerning error messages in GNU gv 3.6.5 and fixed it. So I have a patch 
that you should apply to your package, see

Using the setting "--infoErrors" the info popup should also be shown if 
the message contains one of the following strings:

    * "ERROR:"
    * "error:"

Up to now it is shown only if the message contains the string "Error:".
