As you suggested, I reported this bug under 
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=582290 .

Following that report, I received a NEEDINFO request: "Please could you 
test out *which* one of the patches does cause the trouble."

I am not sure if I understand this question; is it not the version 
number that I already indicated? Could you please provide all pertinent 
information? Could you add it directly to the bug report at the above 
link (assuming you have a Novell account)?
