Ah, so that's how you do it, thanks. I can confirm that this patch
fixes the crash. I don't know if just preventing the operation
completely would be better
that check if it is NULL.
I can get a crash if I run gv with no file on the command line and
then try to
open a zoom.
We've got to investigate this further.
